The Chelsea Community Foundation is a permanent endowment, with assets in excess of $2M thanks to strong local support and prudent financial management. The CCF is guided by Chelsea civic leaders who care about the community.
The Chelsea Community Foundation was established to enhance the quality of life in the Chelsea, Michigan community by:
- Providing leadership in identifying and addressing community needs and opportunities.
- Attracting and managing charitable gifts and bequests primarily in the form of permanent endowments.
- Using the assets to make prudent and creative grants to address emerging community needs in a wide range of charitable activities including economic development, human services, the arts, culture, civic affairs, education, health and the environment.
Since 1995, the Chelsea Community Foundation has awarded more than $1.25M through 100 grants to nonprofit organizations to support and improve the public well-being and quality of life in Chelsea. Visit our website at chelseafound.org to learn more.
