Detailed Information

Chelsea Hospital is a joint venture 133-bed not-for-profit hospital between Trinity Health and University of Michigan Health. Founded in 1970, the hospital is consistently nationally recognized for both quality of care and patient satisfaction by national ranking organizations, and is accredited by the Joint Commission. The hospital employs more than 1,200 individuals and has more than 800 physicians in almost all disciplines. Key services include robust medical and surgical service lines, eight operating rooms, a 24-hour emergency department and urgent care, a state-of-the-art cancer center, a physical medicine and rehabilitation unit and behavioral health services.

Community Support:

Chelsea Hospital is also very invested in the communities it serves. Each year, we invest millions of dollars in the community to support charity care of the uninsured or underinsured, health professionals education and community programing. Our community programming includes: community nutrition programs, diabetes education, faith community nursing, Chelsea Farmers Market, food assistance programs, transportation assistance, donations and in-kind support to community partners serving the poor and underserved, and SRSLY among others.

The SRSLY coalition empowers youth to live healthy, substance-free lives through a connected community. With the emergence of new mental health challenges, SRSLY has broadened its focus to help students and their families understand mental health conditions and demystify available services. SRSLY partners with the schools, local community organizations, clubs, and businesses, as well as invited Chelsea youth and community members. To learn more about supporting SRSLY, joining its efforts, or attending upcoming events and trainings, visit srsly.org or subscribe to @srslychelsea on Facebook.
