Phil Tolliver’s passion for BBQ has been lifelong. He will tell you that he has had “a passion for BBQ as long as I can remember.” Phil and Jenn Tolliver opened Smokehouse 52 BBQ in downtown Chelsea, MI in February of 2013. A second location in Saline, Michigan.
Truly Authentic
BBQ is all about memories and for some, it’s a bit of a religion. Phil knew that in order to provide the best BBQ experience, everything had to be authentic. He wanted a BBQ joint that serves GREAT BBQ with friendly, professional service. He sought out authentic wood fired pits, barn beams, and great bourbon to help create a place where his guests would feel right at home. He developed regional sauces and side dishes to please a variety of BBQ tastes.
