Once again Chelsea Community Kitchen will be offering its after school kids cooking program this winter January through February. The program takes place once a week for a period of six weeks beginning January 17. These six fun-filled sessions will offer experience in learning to cook, expanding knowledge about basic kitchen skills, food safety, and healthy foods. Why You Matter Campaign – Grand Opening at Chelsea High School

Chelsea High School began a Campaign and Public Art Project called #WhyYouMatter to help address a grieving community after losing three students in the last year. Each student and staff member at the school was asked the question: “Why do you matter?” Then they were photographed holding their answer. Embrace your Pure Michigan Winter with a healthy, lantern lit, activity. One half mile loop lit for skiers, unless snow levels prevent skiing, and one half mile loop lit for walking and snowshoeing. For the seventh year, the Michigan Public High School Hockey (MPHSH) Showcase is coming to the Chelsea Arctic Coliseum to host over 50 public high school hockey teams in a week-long showcase. This year’s event runs from Monday, January 23 through Saturday, January 28. The MPHSH Showcase is the largest public high school athletic event in the state of Michigan, and attracts teams from across the entire state.
