2024 SSF Art Market SQ

Saturday July 27th, Noon-2pm

The Great Art Un-Boxing Match is a competition that consists of two 30-minute rounds. Each round features a thematic box of materials and/or tools. The contents of the boxes will be revealed at the beginning of each round. After the contents are revealed, each artist will have 10 minutes to choose materials from a shared art pantry. Three of the five provided items in the box are required to be used within the art created in a prominent way. If ALL the items are used, extra points will be assigned for creative use of the items. Judging will consist of a panel of three.

Each artist will compete in both rounds. At the end of each round scores will be tallied and the winner will be announced and awarded. All art created during this event will offered up for auction. Proceeds of the auction will be evenly split between the artist and the art market.

Art Un-Boxing Match application has closed.
