Indigo & Shibori ~ A Natural Dye Workshop

In this workshop, participants will learn about the ferrous sulfate indigo vat along with a number of simple shibori techniques — a resist technique that looks similar to tie-dye, but has been around since the 6th century. Using these skills, we will create beautiful shibori patterns on a 100% cotton bandana you will take home. Bandanas can be submerged in a series of dips in the indigo vat, creating rich shades of blue to your liking. Please note: shades of blue may vary depending on the temperament of the vat.
