Soup-er Sunday Speaker Series at Chelsea First UMC
Leaving Home, Seeking Hope: Understanding Why People Migrate
What would it take for you to leave your home, your community, and everything familiar in search of a better future?
This November, Speaker Series welcomes Mary Anne Perrone (WCS) to help us explore the stories behind migration. Drawing on her work in Honduras, Mary Anne will share personal stories and insights into the root causes that compel people to leave their homelands—and how our lives are connected to theirs.
Through learning and conversation, we’ll consider how our faith calls us to respond with greater understanding, compassion, and love for our neighbors.
