Do you love to play in the dirt or enjoy eating locally grown, organic produce? Are you a novice gardener looking for tips and opportunities to learn more about gardening? Join the Intergenerational Garden group!  The garden is located on the Washington Street Education Center campus (off Book Street).  This partnership between the Chelsea Senior Center and Chelsea School District began last year.  Our goal is to establish a school-based community garden that

(1) teaches children the joys and benefits of gardening

(2) affords seniors an opportunity for a manageable gardening experience

(3) bridges the intergenerational gap between the two age groups.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with gardening tasks and maintenance or leading educational programs.  Join the fun and stay active and connected!
