Chelsea Community Senior Services (C2S2)
Volunteers needed! The Chelsea Community Senior Services (C2S2) program connects seniors to needed services using volunteers or through referrals to local vetted service providers. The Chelsea Senior Center’s mission is to enhance the quality of life and well-being for area seniors and their families. Chelsea Community Senior Services was created to help seniors “age in place” and to live as independently as possible.
C2S2 is seeking volunteer applicants to provide services such as occasional transportation around Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Manchester, Stockbridge and possibly to U of M hospital, basic home maintenance, light gardening or yard work, and assistance with electronics. We are interested in hearing about the skills you can share with local residents. This is a great opportunity to assist local seniors so they can continue to live at home while remaining connected to their community. Volunteers are called on an as-needed basis so this is a low-commitment volunteer opportunity where you can decide your hours and availability. Please contact the Chelsea Senior Center at 734-475-9242 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
