About World Book Night

World Book Night, held in the U.S., the U.K. and Ireland, t is an attempt to foster literacy and affirm the vital role of literature in the community. The organization hopes that people who do not normally read will take advantage of this opportunity. The books were chosen by a panel of booksellers and librarians through several rounds of voting. The printing of the free books was possible due to generosity of the authors, publishers, and book manufacturing companies.
