Yoga Out Yonder: Yoga and Hiking

As part of its Yoga in Unique Settings Series, Breathe Yoga is thrilled to announce it’s first Yoga Out Yonder outing! Join us for a guided hike in our beautiful big backyard – the Waterloo Recreation Area – interspersed with breaks for yoga along the way.
Beginning and ending at the Gerald E Eddy Discovery Center lake overlook deck, we will walk at a steady pace, enjoying the outdoors and the company of fellow yogi hikers, then pause at intervals to work on building strength, flexibility and balance in the fresh air. Practicing postures against the backdrop of nature allows us to reconnect more fully with ourselves in both mind and body, our breath, and our surroundings, and will perfectly compliment the more cardiovascular workout that a hike provides.
Open to adults and teens aged 13 and up, participants should be able to hike for approximately 45 minutes, and fit enough for gentle yoga. Beginners are welcome. Please wear appropriate attire and footwear. We will provide mats and bottled water.

Time: Set off at 10 am. Please gather fifteen minutes before. Approximate length of class is 90 minutes.
Cost: $20 per person, payable by cash or check to your instructor.
