Transformational Breathing

Sunday, Sep 22, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Sunday, repeating until October 13, 2019

Christian Mack is back, with a regular slot! EVERY Sunday evening at 7:30pm beginning Sunday July 14. In these powerful sessions, Christian guides and encourages us through what is a truly unique experience, an active meditation of sorts, ideal for people who have a hard time meditating in the traditional sense. The results, quite simply, can be profound and incomparable to anything else available. Come. Breathe. HEAL.
From attendee, Kelly Goodell:
“This technique shifted my perception of myself, my life, and everything in it, on a profound and permanent level. I will be integrating this breathwork into my own personal practice and sharing it as much as, and as often as possible.”

Here’s a little background:
With deep East Coast roots, Christian finally followed his heart and was guided out to the City of Angels in 2011. He thought that was the change he needed but he had no idea of the massive shift that was on the way. A couple years into his new beach-life in Santa Monica, his life nearly ended after sustaining a Traumatic Brain Injury. During his healing journey, he found meditation incredibly helpful but it was a constant challenge to quiet his mind like most people. Then he discovered Breathwork. Like others, he had an immediate and profound experience after just one class and was hooked. He found that breathing was the missing link to his consciousness, and physical, emotional, and mental well being.

Transformational Breathing can:
 Process and clear trauma, grief and emotional pain
 Release unprocessed emotions and memories
 Quiet the inner critic (the voice)
 Break old patterns and behaviors
 Enable us to feel deep relaxation and massive stress relief
 Clear toxins from the cellular body
 Create a love of self and result in more loving relationships
 Help us find a deep sense of happiness and joy
 Find deep, inner peace
 Engender a massive connection to creativity and confidence
 Help us discover the ability to manifest greater abundance in all areas
 Assist us to access expanded states of consciousness, including higher guidance and clarity
 Stimulate an internal awakening
 Help us connect to source.

Christian says this breathwork has done nothing less than change his life. He guarantees it will change yours too. It’s so simple that all you have to do is lie on the floor and breathe for 6 or 7 songs while he guides and encourages you.

Every other SUNDAY, beginning June 23rd, 7:30-8:45pm, $20pp, Register online.
PLEASE DO NOT eat just prior to coming to class.

Contraindications for Breathwork
Like most types of therapy, Breathwork isn’t appropriate for everyone. It is also important to note that a contraindication for some types of Breathwork may not be one for another. For example, types of breathwork that use rapid breathing may be very risky for someone with certain health conditions, such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular issues, a recent surgery, or osteoporosis. However, a type of Breathwork that utilizes a more gentle and relaxed form of breathing may be perfectly safe, and even beneficial. It’s recommended that you consult with your healthcare provider (including any mental health provider) and consult with the Breathwork practitioner before participating in any form of Breathwork.
Following is a list of some of the most common contraindications for Breathwork:
• Cardiovascular problems
• High or abnormal blood pressure
• History of aneurisms
• Epilepsy or history of seizures
• Anyone on heavy medication
• Severe psychiatric symptoms, particularly psychosis or paranoia
• Bipolar depression
• Osteoporosis
• Recent surgery
• Glaucoma
• Pregnancy
• An active addiction
• Any person with mental illness who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support
for persons with a history of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, high
blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, any significant recent physical
injuries or surgeries. Breathwork is not advised for persons with severe mental illness or seizure disorders or for persons using major medications. It is also unsuitable for anyone with a personal or family history of aneurysms. Pregnant women are advised against practicing Breathwork without first consulting and getting approval from their primary care physician. Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult their physician before attending.
