Timber Town Park
Timbertown Park is a large play structure for kids. Located off Sibley Rd, about 1/2 mile from downtown Chelsea. Built in 1996 and renovated in June 2007, the park features a huge 12,000 square foot wooden climbing structure, swings, bridges, towers, slides, sandboxes, climbing wall, small spray zone, and much more! Timber Town serves as a community attraction for families in Chelsea and throughout Michigan.
In addition, Timber Town features a large pavilion* that is perfect for birthday or team parties. There are several picnic tables onsite. The grounds include a very large mowed grass area which is excellent for frisbee, soccer or letting kids run free. Timber Town is the home to artwork too. It features numbers mosaic murals that were a community project for the Pathway to Renewal.
*The pavilion at Timbertown Park can be reserved. Visit the Forms page of the Parks and Recreation section of the City of Chelsea website to review the pavilion reservation policy and complete a reservation form. There is a fee for use. Unless reserved, the pavilion is ‘first come, first served’ as a public property.
