Chelsea Farmers Market

Chelsea’s weekly Farmers Markets offer local, seasonal vegetables and fruits, meat and poultry, eggs, honey, maple syrup, coffee, a wide variety of breads and bakery items, herbs, nuts, along with delicious prepared artisan foods. Organic and naturally-grown offerings available. Hand-crafted artisan products include jewelry, soaps and lotions, wood crafts, birdhouses, garden art, and more. Each retreat is an opportunity to enjoy the quiet of the country while practicing sitting and walking meditation. This day is appropriate for anyone interested in meditation: beginners will have break-out instruction; experienced meditators can be in silence all day; those in-between can practice and have their questions answered. Meetings are held on the third Saturday of the month. Please check https://sites.google.com/site/chelseamiforum/, the Chelsea Senior Center web site or monthly mailer for any changes in dates. Forum will begin promptly at 9 am, and will end at 10 am. We hope this change in time will be more convenient for attendees. Feedback is welcome! What do we talk about? That’s entirely up to you! The agenda is completely determined by the wishes of the attendees.

County Clean Up Day

Washtenaw County Clean Up Day takes place on May 18 from 9am-1pm at Chelsea High School. Please consider a minium donation of $15 to help support this effort. The Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office and Board of Public Works, as well as several community partners, will be sponsoring Environmental Clean-up Days for Washtenaw County residents.
