SUMMARY:Veterans Day Community Tribute
DESCRIPTION:Veterans, family members and the community at large are invited to a special Veterans Day Community Tribute on November 11, including lunch*. This year’s event will be held entirely at Chelsea Senior Center (CSC) and will kick off at 11:00 a.m. in Room 100 at 512 Washington Street in Chelsea.\nIf you can join us for a noon lunch, you must make your reservations by November 7. Lunch is underwritten by the City of Chelsea, so it is free for all to attend. CSC’s Senior Cafe’ can accommodate up to 200 people.\nThe tribute will include American Legion Post 31 and Veterans Honor Guard of Washtenaw County. There will be a presentation of colors, a flag folding ceremony, musical performances by Chelsea High School and essay presentations by three Beach Middle School 6th grade students.\nThis is an opportunity to honor, remember, mourn and learn about our nation’s history and the brave Veterans who have defended our nation.\nThis event is hosted by Chelsea Senior Center, City of Chelsea, Chelsea School District with support from Chelsea District Library, Material Girls of First United Methodist Church and Silver Maples of Chelsea\n
