DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Annual Chalk Art Contest Dated Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Palmer Auto (222 S Main St. Chelsea MI  48118) parking lot.\nRegistered participants of all abilities and ages will transform concrete into vibrant colors and works of art with the chance to win prizes. RAIN DATE: July 28, 2024.\nAll 5’x5’ spaces are FREE and can be worked on by 1-4 artists. Each registered space is eligible for prizes. The winner of the 2024 Best in Show category will be given the opportunity to become a Featured Artist during the 2025 Sounds & Sights Festival.\nAll children 2.5’x2.5’ spaces are FREE. Children must register to be eligible for the Best Children’s Piece Prizes. Spectators will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece of work in the People’s Choice Category * The categories and prizes are:\nBest in Show: $350\nPeople’s Choice Award: $200*\nBest Art Reproduction: $100\nBest Original Piece: $100\nBest Use of Color: $100\nBest Teen Piece: $100 & $50\nBest Children’s Piece: $50 & $25\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE: PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by July 22, 2024 to be eligible for prizes.
