Paint Chelsea Pink!
Paint The Town Pink CHELSEA!
Saturday, September 29 | 10 am – 11 pm
The Chelsea Fire Authority and the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce will be working together to fight breast cancer for this effort. Proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Mid-Michigan.
Scott Basar, one of the event organizers, says businesses are encouraged to decorate their store fronts pink and participants are encouraged wear as much pink as possible.
Scott is a community member, father, husband, and fire fighter who has been a keystone in organizing the event. He says, “We anticipate a big turn out and we are excited for the city of Chelsea to be involved in such a big fundraising event for such a great foundation. All of the people involved in making this event happen have worked so hard from day-one and have really proved what a great community Chelsea is. We at the fire department could not be more proud of the city we get to serve everyday for supporting us from the very beginning. Saturday will be a great day for Chelsea!”
You can pre-purchase your $25 passport for this event at the Chelsea Fire Station or through the Paint The Town Pink website. Passports will also be available for purchase on Saturday morning at the Chelsea District Library or the Chelsea Fairgrounds main entrance.
