Creating an assortment of curios that delight patrons with wacky whimsicality, the Ghoultide Gathering artists look beyond traditional Halloween imagery for inspiration. Their passion for the season fuels the creative process and produces artwork that is playful, unpredictable and begs to be taken home.  Attendees discover the joy of owning original pieces in a style that continues to evolve and become much more sophisticated. These creations cannot be found in typical retail locations and having them displayed all in one place is artistic magic.

Launched in 2006, by Michigan artist, Scott Smith, the show has become known as an incubator of creativity. Participants come from all over the country to present their interpretations of Halloween and are often just as anxious to get a glimpse of each other’s work as the collectors are. Quality and ingenuity are key factors for being juried into the show, and the lineup for this year proves the pool of talent for Halloween art runs deep.

You can expect around three dozen fine artisans to produce visual treats, along with a few tricks, working in a medley of mediums such as papier-mâché, paintings, pottery, soft sculpture, metal, and even found objects.  The show’s website offers a complete list of participating artists and samples of their works.
