The mission statement of the Chelsea School District is Achieving Educational Goals One Student at a Time. The district strives to provide each of its students the best education possible by maintaining high expectations for students and staff.
In addition to core academic programs, Chelsea School District offers a variety of extracurricular programs and specialized programs to enhance each child’s educational experience. Chelsea is a community in which the school district residents value education and have provided outstanding facilities and programs which allow out children to prosper.

Helping each student reach his or her potential requires a commitment to providing the best-possible learning environment. The Chelsea School District’s continued success at combining highly qualified, dedicated and dynamic instructors with modern, well-equipped and comfortable facilities is a proven formula for our students’ achievement.
More than just teachers, Chelsea faculty are members of the community. Many organize extra-curricular activities, coach a sport or attend school events. Whether they teach early childhood, special educations, K-12, vocational or adult education classes, our 175 fully certified instructors bring their own individual talents and abilities each day.
The schools are organized by grade level:
- Early Childhood Center: Preschool Program ages 3-5 years
- North Creek Elementary School : Grades K-2
- South Meadows School: Grades 3-5
- Beach Middle School: Grades 6-8
- Chelsea High School: Grades 9-12
- Washington Street Education Center (Early Childhood, Adult and Community Services, and district administration offices)
Each School has a media center, computer lab, gymnasium and cafeteria and is fully air-conditioned. Elementary schools each have a playground. classrooms throughout the district have amenities such as computers, wireless internet, smart-boards, and ipad stations.
Activities & Achievement
With over 50 school-related clubs, groups and activities (and that’s not even counting other things to do in the Chelsea Community) the problem isn’t finding something to get involved in, but choosing between all the options.
The Chelsea School District prides itself on achieving a balance between art, music, sports, and academics.
